Schematics of the Program -
The program is partitioned in to three major themes. Each thematic session
will be run for two weeks, begining with pedagogical lectures and culminating
in a focussed workshop.
The three broad themes are:
1. CMB
anisotropy & polarization measurements:
21 July – 3 Aug (Workshop 1-3 Aug)
Theory &
observational status of primary & secondary effects,
cosmological
model parameters, new statistical techniques, …
[Session organizers: Tarun Souradeep (IUCAA), Simon Prunet (IAP,
Paris)]
2. Probes of Large
Scale Structure:
4 – 17 Aug (Workshop
15-17 Aug)
Reionization
sources, 21 cm, deep galaxy surveys, Ly-alpha,
BAO,
cluster surveys and SNe, cosmological parameters & constraints, ...
[Session organizers: Subha Majumdar (TIFR), Bhuvnesh Jain (UPenn)]
3. Link to Early
Universe :
18 – 31 Aug (
Workshop 29 –31 Aug)
Inflation
and alternatives, String cosmology, higher dimensions/higher
derivative
gravity, cosmic topology,..
[Session organizers: Asantha Cooray (UCIrvine), Subir Sarkar (Oxford),
Sandip Trivedi (TIFR)]
